SUBCOURSE OVERVIEW
This   subcourse   addresses   the   procedures   used   to   design   a   concrete
column   wall   form.     A   form's   primary   purpose   is   to   support   the
concrete   during   its   placement   and   initial   set   periods.     As   an
engineer   carpenter,   you   must   understand   the   basic   principles
concerning the design of concrete column wall forms to ensure that
they are designed for the necessary strength and durability required
to perform this work.
There are no prerequisites for this subcourse.
The lesson in this subcourse reflects the doctrine which was current
at   the   time   it   was   prepared.     In   your   own   work   situation,   always
refer to the latest official publication.
Unless otherwise stated, the masculine gender of singular pronouns is
used to refer to both men and women.
TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
ACTION: You   will   describe   procedures   used   to   design   wooden
forms for concrete columns.
CONDITION: You will be given material contained in this subcourse
booklet   and   an   Army   Correspondence   Course   Program
(ACCP) examination response sheet.
STANDARD: To   demonstrate   competency   of   this   task   you   must
achieve   a   minimum   of   70   percent   on   the   subcourse
examination.
