“A business is not defined by its name, statutes, or articles of incorporation3>. It is defined by the business mission. Only a clear definition of the mission and purpose of anization makes possible clear and realistic business objectives.”– Peter Drucker
What Do We Want to e?
A vision statement should answer the basic question, “What do we want to e?”
A clear vision provides the foundation for developing prehensive mission statement.
The vision statement should be
short—preferably one sentence
and have input from many managers.
California mission’s Vision Statement
It is the vision of the California mission for Californians to have energy choices that are affordable, reliable, diverse, safe, and environmentally acceptable.

A mission statement:
is an enduring statement of purpose that distinguishes anization from other similar enterprises.
is a declaration of anization’s “reason for being.”
