Testing, Evaluation and Certification Introduction: The intend of Fugitive Emission Test is evaluation of external leakage of isolating and control valve ’ s stem/shaft and body intended for application with various air pollutants and hazardous fluids as per ISO 15848-2 and MESC SPE 77/312 November 2012. Sampling of Valves ? The lot identification shall be based following parameters: ? The valves shall part of the same purchase order. ? Valves manufacturered in same location with same valve type, design and size (same Stem diameter in case of rising stem type valves) and fugitive emission class. ? Sample Size and Selection: ? The representing valves shall be selected at random from each lot. The sample shall cover entire production range when lot consists various pressure class, sizes and Stem diameter. ? Sample size is selected based on following Table 3 of MESC SPE 77/312:2012 specification. Sampling of Valves: Cont …. The testing is applicable to valves for which the design passed prototype testing. ? Valve assemblies with a gearbox and/or actuator do not require an additional production test, if the same has passed during production test. ? FET is not required if the prototype testing of same type of v
