一、教学目标:
1、能在自主阅读的基础上,理解文本内容,自然流畅地朗读课文。
2、能听懂、会说、会读词汇find out, magazine, kangaroo, koala, sport-lover, Australian football, exciting, Sydney。
3、能运用一般将来时的肯定句“…will…”进行将来计划的问答.
4、在听、说、读、写活动中,进一步丰富语言积累,提高独立搜索信息的能力和口头表达能力。
5、拓展英语文化视野,激发英语学****兴趣。
二、教学重点:

1、自主阅读过程中能根据上下文猜测词义,提高阅读能力。
2、能运用适当的语气、表情、动作等,准确、自然、流畅地朗读课文,并进行复述或表演。

五、教学过程:
Step 1. Greeting and warming up
1. Greetings between T and Ss。
2. Look at the words and try to make your sentences.
Step 2。 Pre-reading
1. Say something about the countries.
T: There are many countries in the world。 Look here, this is China。 China is a country。
(Learn to say the word of “country”.)
2。 Look at the pictures and guess, what country is it?
3. T: We can see kangaroos in Australia。
T: What do you know about Australia? How to know more about Australia?
4。 Go to the text.
Step 3. While-reading
1. Read Part One and talk about the sentences of the text。
(1) Ss read the sentences of Part One。 Try to match and say.
(2) T: Can you say something about their plans?
S1: Mike will ask his e-friend in the US, …
S2: Wang Bing will ask Mr Green, …
S3: Liu Tao will read about it on the Internet, …
S4: Yang Ling will go to the library, …
(3) T: Let’s read Part One.
2。 Read Part 2 and talk about Australi
