一、教学目标：
1、能在自主阅读的基础上，理解文本内容，自然流畅地朗读课文。
2、能听懂、会说、会读词汇find out， magazine， kangaroo, koala， sport-lover, Australian football, exciting， Sydney。
3、能运用一般将来时的肯定句“…will…”进行将来计划的问答.
4、在听、说、读、写活动中,进一步丰富语言积累，提高独立搜索信息的能力和口头表达能力。
5、拓展英语文化视野，激发英语学****兴趣。
二、教学重点:

1、自主阅读过程中能根据上下文猜测词义，提高阅读能力。
2、能运用适当的语气、表情、动作等，准确、自然、流畅地朗读课文,并进行复述或表演。

五、教学过程：
Step 1. Greeting and warming up
1. Greetings between T and Ss。
2. Look at the words and try to make your sentences.
Step 2。 Pre-reading
1. Say something about the countries.
T: There are many countries in the world。 Look here， this is China。 China is a country。
(Learn to say the word of “country”.）
2。 Look at the pictures and guess, what country is it?
3. T: We can see kangaroos in Australia。
T： What do you know about Australia？ How to know more about Australia?
4。 Go to the text.
Step 3. While-reading
1. Read Part One and talk about the sentences of the text。
(1） Ss read the sentences of Part One。 Try to match and say.
(2） T： Can you say something about their plans？
S1: Mike will ask his e-friend in the US， …
S2： Wang Bing will ask Mr Green, …
S3： Liu Tao will read about it on the Internet， …
S4: Yang Ling will go to the library, …
(3） T： Let’s read Part One.
2。 Read Part 2 and talk about Australi
