This is a discussion of seven forces they believe will significantly influence the world by 2025.

2005: billion world population
2025: billion world population
2050: billion world population

Over the next 20 years, about 80% of world population growth will occur in countries that can least afford that growth.
*
Although the . is one of the top nine growth countries in that time period, the . can better afford growth than many other countries.

These countries that will experience 80% of world growth in the next 20 years are among the least stable nations politically, economically, and environmentally.
What are the implications of this? Might this be a threat?

Postindustrial nations will have “old” populations (a high average age).
Developing countries will have “young” populations (a low average age).
