Introduction
Easter is the oldest one of the most significant Christian festivals. It celebrates the resurrection of Christ. Christians around the world celebrate it every year . Easter is also a symbol of rebirth and hope
The foundation of the Christian
faith is the life, death, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Christ lived the righteous and
perfect life . But because of our
fallen and corrupt nature, he
suffered the penalty for our sins
by taking our guilt upon himself
and dying horribly on the cross.
He rose bodily from the dead
on the third day , ensuring that
we who have been baptized
into his death and resurrection
will rise again in glorified bodies
on the Last day. This is the great
paschal mystery that Christians
have celebrated since the earliest
days of the church.
The time of Easter
The date of Easter is the first Sunday after a full moon on or after the equinox(春分) .
As the vernal equinox each year is not fixed, so the exact date of Easter is uncertain. But it is roughly between March 22 and April 25.
Why is Easter always on Sunday?
Jesus died on Good Friday. On the third day which was Sunday, he rose from the dead.
Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day when Jesus Christ died and Easter Sunday as the day when he resurrected.
Easter eggs
Easter Rabbit
In many ancient cultures, egg was a common symbol of new life. In medieval times, Eggs represented the Lord‘s resurrection.  Just as the yolk(蛋黄) of the egg breaks out of its shell when cracked, Christ broke out of the tomb on Easter morning.
The decoration of eggs for Easter is part of the folk traditions of many cultures, although it has little or no religious significance any more.

Easter Rabbit
The Easter Rabbit was called
" Easter Hare“ Long ago. Hares
and rabbits have frequent
multiple births, so they became
a symbol of fertility.
