Education at Tsinghua University emphasizes practice. In the third year of study, I applied to join the Lab. of Information Systems. In the lab I successfully designed 2Mb/s PCM Digital Interface (32 frames) which was used in the analogue PBX (Private Branch Exchange). In 1993, I independently designed Speech Signal Processing Card which was used in the SUN SPARC station.
