Her MansfieM PQrk was published in itwas adapted into televisionmini-seriesin 1983and film in1999 ,the controversy over the novel itselfdetermines thatitsfilmadaptation would alsobedi伍cult tomake. From the perspective of film adaptation,this thesisanalyzes the novel textofMansfield Park andits 1999and 2007 filmversions inorder toexplore the differences between thetwo filmadaptations,pare thetwo filmadaptations with itsnovel text,and toprobe into the purposes,reasons,social and culturalsignificance offilmadaptations through parison oftheadaptation ofsettings,plots andcharacters between thetwo film versions. 。The whole thesisismade up ofthreeparts:Introduction,Body and Introduction gives abriefoverview toJane Austen and herMansfield Park,film adaptation theories,literature review,the research method adopted inthethesis,the research purposes and the frame ofthethesis.
