从农民闲暇看农村公共生活变迁——以湖北杨村为例

摘要
公共生活关涉转型过程中农村社区的整合问题,其变迁也映射出村庄共同体的
嬗变历程。本研究由闲暇生活切入对村庄公共空间变迁的考察,试图在一个地方性
经验的基础上回应这一问题,这也是本文研究的意义和目的所在。
杨村位于湖北省某县城郊,经过近几年的城市化建设,已经由集体时代的农业
村转型为一个准城市社区。相较于中国绝大多数正在经历城市化的农村,杨村的变
迁具有一定的典型性,使得本研究既可以较为完整地回溯建国后主要历史时期的村
域图景,亦能经验性地思考城市化建设对公共空间重建的意义。
本文梳理了建国后杨村三个历史时期的村民闲暇状况:集体时代生产劳动与生
活闲暇互嵌;市场化时代农民闲暇生活单一化;城市化时代广场闲暇生活丰富化。
由此可以发现杨村公共生活的变迁中,国家与市场发挥了关键性的推动与型塑
作用:集体时代的国家政权建设建构了涵括农民生产生活的公共空间;市场化时代
国家权力的收缩以及现代市场因素的进入,使农民生活日益私密化、原子化,公共
空间萎缩;而基层政权通过植入性的城市化建设,塑造出了新型的公共空间。
本文最终认为,公共生活的重建有助于村庄在不断变化的时空境遇下的内部整
合,在此过程中,基层政权可以弥合并约制现代市场力量造成的负面影响,进而发
挥积极的主导性的建设作用。

Abstract
During the transformation period, great changes have happened on the rural public
space which has huge impact on the rural life and village harmonious development.
Naturally, the daily casual life of villagers is closely connected with the rural public
space maintenance. It would be right to the point to investigate the rural public space
changes in the perspective of farmer spare time change.
Yangcun, investigated here in the essay is located in middle Hubei Province and it is
an ordinary village in the average living has gone through the whole
change from collectivism to contract system of household responsibility and then to
urbanization. The change happened in Yangcun is the typical representive for China
which is now confronting the fierce urbanization.
Yangcun villagers’ spare life has been transferred from labor merging into spare
time in the collectivism time into labor separating from spare time in post collectivism,
and into spare time in grocery stores, Mahjong House and individual house, and into the
public spare time in munity public places, the third of which represents the
