文档介绍：i 摘要作为现代生活不可或缺的大众传播艺术,电影具有传递信息,传播文化的使命。电影的发展使字幕翻译也随之成为一个新兴的翻译领域。随着中外文化交流日益频繁,国外影视剧越来越多地涌入国内,英语电影尤其受到中国观众的欢迎,但相对于传统翻译研究,字幕翻译研究的发展并不成熟。特别是在国内,关于电影字幕翻译方面的研究不够系统化,也没有形成相对成熟的指导理论,与电影市场繁华的发展现状不相符。因此,如何在理论指导下成功地翻译英语影片的字幕,使中国观众能够更好地欣赏英语影片具有重要意义。鉴于当前字幕翻译研究存在的问题,本文探讨功能对等理论在电影字幕翻译中的指导作用。与其他传统翻译理论不同,功能对等理论以接受者反应为核心,强调目标语读者的反应与原语读者对等,指出翻译的本质和任务是用最近似的自然对等值再现原语信息。而电影的成功关键在于观众的反响和肯定,功能对等理论恰与电影字幕翻译的要求相一致,可见功能对等理论适用于字幕翻译研究。本文以近年来著名富含中国元素的英文电影《功夫熊猫2》为素材。2011 年在中国大陆上映的《功夫熊猫2》广受好评,深受欢迎。这部电影能在中国成为当年票房最高的外国影片,其优秀的字幕翻译功不可没。本文分析了电影《功夫熊猫2》的中国元素和语言特点,从语言、风格和文化不同方面,通过具体的例子对电影《功夫熊猫2》字幕翻译进行功能对等分析,在功能对等理论指导下,并结合字幕特点和限制,总结出字幕翻译中用到的各种策略和技巧, 包括归化法、使用汉语流行语、增译法、减译法、释意法、转化文化意象、转换文化特色词等。本文最后指出,功能对等理论给译者一个全新的视角,能有效指导电影字幕翻译。本文研究目的在于通过这一案例分析,为电影字幕翻译提供理论参考,提高功能对等理论对翻译字幕中的指导作用。希并望引起更多的学者关注这一较新的翻译领域,以促进电影字幕翻译的发展。关键词: 字幕翻译;功能对等理论;中国元素;《功夫熊猫2》;观众反应 ii Abstract As an indispensable part of municationin modern life, films shoulder the mission of delivering information and transmitting , subtitle translation has e a new field of translation the increasingly frequent cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, foreign filmsand television are floodinginto films are especiallypopularamong Chineseaudiences. pared with the traditional translation studies, audiovisualsubtitle translation study is far from systematic and in China, specializedstudyon audiovisualsubtitle translation hasnot formed a relatively mature theoretical guidance.
