Pollution is a major problem in the world today. It damages the environment and is harmful to humans, animals and plants. Although pollution can be a result of natural disasters such as earthquakes and forest fires, it is mostly caused by human activity. With the increase of population and the development of technology, pollution in our modern-day world has reached dangerous levels. Clean and fresh air is now a luxury in many big cities and the water in many of our rivers and lakes are too polluted to drink and swim in. The environment is our life support system—the only one that we have. We should do our best to save it before it’s too late.
