The repetition of words for rhetorical effect is an old mon practice. Lexical repetition can take various forms, and the Greeks had a name for each.
People use lexical repetition for various purposes, the chief of which are emphasis, heightening of mood, tension or atmosphere, coherence, and aesthetic effect, especially in poetry.

The most popular type of lexical repetition is to repeat words in different positions in a line of poetry or in a sentence, in stanza or paragraphs.
Words may be repeated a) in juxtaposition, called immediate repetition; b) in initial or end position of various patterns;c) in distant or intermittent positions,. in positions separated from each other by words or groups of words of varying length.
Repetition of the same words can be classified into the following types:

The repetition of words in the close juxtaposition is the simplest, and the mon kind of lexical repetition. Each time a word is repeated it requires added significance and even new implications, emphasizing a mood or feeling, or a feature of something.
