第二 注意选择有兴趣完成的课题。要充分考虑自己的特长和兴趣，兴趣深厚，研究的欲望就强烈，内在的动力和写作情绪就高，成功的可能性也就越大。
第三 注意选择有条件完成的课题。要考虑到是否有资料或资料来源，要了解所选课题的研究动态和研究成果，大致掌握写作中可能遇到的困难，以避免盲目性和无效劳动。
（二）科研团队
课题研究团队结构是否合理，是完成课题的关键。团队的组建要注意 “五结合、两克服”：
第一 要注意结合学校优势。充分利用学校学科门类齐全、学科交叉优势明显、科研创新能力较强、各层次研究人员水平较高的特点，选择具有较高学术水平的研究人员。
第二 要注意力量层次的结合。使研究团队有跨学科、跨专业或同学科、同专业的老中青研究力量。
第三 要注意不同学校优势的结合。重大课题要把全省或区域内跨校区的知名专家选择到团队中来。
第四 要注意与企业的结合。充分利用相关企业的优势，选择知名企业专家参与团队研究。
第五 要注意与行业主管部门的结合。选择相关行业政府主管部门的领导担任顾问。
第六 既要克服“单兵作战”现象，又要克服“人员挂名”现象。
