What is a resume?
A resume or CV is a brief summary of the details of a person’s life that is of interest to fellow professionals. It can make or break you in your search for a job or in your application for an admission to a university. Having a well written and effective resume at one’s disposal is an excellent tool in today’s ever changing job market. A strong resume may be the sole difference in getting a call for an interview or simply having your resume tossed into the employer's sludge pile. An effective resume may win you a job interview. In the world of academia, a strong resume may open the door towards a tenured position.
