The complex images of Satan in paradise lost
Abstract:
Written by John Milton, Paradise Lost is a great epic story,taken from genesis of bible,is concerned with Satan’s revolt against god,the fall of man through disobedience and the loss of in the Bible is an image of in paradise lost,Satan has been more complex and has brought about different interpretations from different role of Satan has become a stylish symbol of complex connotation in the literature history after Milton’s recreation. This thesis aims to try to analyze the subtle images of Satan especially his heroism.
约翰·弥尔顿所写的《失乐园》是一个伟大的史诗。取自《圣经》的《创世纪》,这个故事可分为撒旦反抗上帝,人类的堕落和失乐园三个部分。撒旦在《圣经》里是一个魔鬼。但在《失乐园》中，撒旦的形象更加复杂,从不同的角度可以有不同的解释。弥尔顿创作之后，撒旦这一角色已经成为文学历史上一种复杂形象的象征。本文旨在分析撒旦复杂的性格尤其是他性格中的英雄色彩。
