Europeans have long been hearing about romantic stories of prince and princess, and the tradition has been passed onto modern times.
Everyone loves fairy-tales, Everyone
wants something unchanged,
something eternal in such a
changable world, and this is
particularly common in some
European countries. Those romantic
stories usually end up with“Thereafter, the prince and
princess have lived happily in the castle forever....." Young men have been brought up with these fairy-tales, and they will pass it onto their decendents(后世).

After her marriage, Diana soon took up the role of a princess in diplomatic tours with other countries, her kindness and love impressed people who have met her or even not seen her.
Her personal style was quite different from the way other royal members. She is warm, approachable, and much pain folk (平民化),and people would rather portray Diana as the symbol of the British Imperial Family, rather than the Queen Elizabeth II.
One journalist once asked Diana if she had ever thought of being the queen one day, she thought for a while and said, “I do not want to be the queen of this nation, I want to be the queen of people’s heart.” And she did it.
But Diana was very unhappy in her marriage. There were even stories that she attempted suicide.
Then Charles and Diana divorced in 1996. After the divorce, Diana became more involved in charity work.
