摘要
中国古代“重农轻商”、“重义轻利”的传统思想导致了商贾地位的低下。在
唐以前,将商贾作为表现内容的文学作品是极少的,而在这为数极少的作品中,
商贾的形象也是黯淡无光的。唐五代商贾题材小说在中国小说史上第一次较为集
中地反映了商贾生活,塑造了一批鲜活的商贾群像,在小说题材上具有开创之功。
但由于历史的和政治的等多种原因,唐五代商贾题材小说一直不太受人重视,从
文学角度对其进行研究的成果不多,因而此领域具有较大的研究空间和价值。
处于中国商贾题材小说萌芽期的唐五代商贾题材小说在表现内容上有着属于
自己的鲜明特色:它第一次客观全面地描写了商贾的生存状态;运用志怪手法虚
构了一个超自然的象征世界,借助于神怪力量充当人世间商业秩序的维护者;描
写了一大批慧眼识宝的胡商形象,对胡商识宝的过程和方法有具体而生动的表现。
更引人注目的是,小说中出现了许多周身散发着人性光辉的新兴商贾形象。作为
一名商贾,他们谙熟商业经营之道,自觉遵守诚实、公平、守信的经营原则;作
为一名社会成员,他们往往具有很好的修养,时常表现出轻财重义、扶危济困的
优良品质;作为一个个体的人,他们拥有令人羡慕的物质财富,有着足够的资本
和较自由的空间去选择他们所向往的生存方式和人生道路。这样的商贾形象在前
代文学作品中是空前未有的,但在唐五代小说中却为数不少,此可谓是唐五代商
贾题材小说在人物形象塑造上的一个突破,其根源就在于唐中叶以后商品经济的
蓬勃发展和社会价值观的转型。
唐五代商贾题材小说多出于名家之手,艺术成就较为突出。小说在选材、人
物形象塑造、结构安排、表现手法等方面都别具匠心,具有引人入胜的审美价值,
为唐以后的小说反映商贾生活、塑造商贾形象提供了必要的借鉴和启示。同时,
小说较为真实地反映了当时的社会对商业、商人的认识和思考,展示了唐五代商
业活动的具体面貌,为后代研究商业史提供了重要的佐证,是我国小说宝库中的
一份珍贵遗产,应当引起我们足够的重视。

Abstract
Under the influence of traditional physiocracy and morality, the social position of
merchants was very inferior. Before Tang Dynasty, the merchants rarely appeared in
literature. Moreover, the merchant characters were faint in them. Merchant theme
novel of Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties was conceptually the first to reflect the
merchant’s life in the history of Chinese novels. By portraying a batch of fresh and
lively merchant characters, they contributed to the foundation of the merchant theme
novels. But due to historical and political reasons, merchant theme novels of Tang
Dynasty and Five Dynasties wasn’t attached much by people, the research
achievement about it, from the view of literature, was little. Therefore, this field
deserves quite big space and value to research.
To be the sprout of merchant theme novels of Chinese history, the merchant theme
novels of Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties has their own distinguishing feature in
content. Portraying the live cond
