— turning radius of lattice structure
h— height of web plate of U steel
λ — slenderness ratio
[λ]— allowable maximum slenderness ratio. Supply turning radius big enough to satisfy the rigid requirement.
φy — stability factor of lattice structure which is decided by the value of slenderness ratio as per specification .
σ=Nmax/(φy A)=465/=<[σ]=215MPa

When the axis compression lattice member lose the stability around virtual axis, the additional deformation shall arise from this failure, which is called “ lattice shearing deformation” . This affect shall be considered by the application of conversion slenderness ratioλox
