1 The Maritime Safety Committee, at its sixtieth session, recognized thucts, and chemicals having a flashpoint not exceeding 60 degrees C (closed cup test), as determined by an approved flashpoint apparatus, and a Reid vapour pressure which is below atmospheric pressure and other liquid products having a similar fire hazard.

"Inerted:" the condition in which the oxygen content in a flammable gas/air mixture is 8% or less by volume.
