Key Laboratory of Chemistry and Engineering of Forest Products, Nanning 530006, . 28 November 2013, revised 6 March 2014, accepted 10 March imprinted polymer (MIP) containing a phenanthrene skeleton was prepared by suspension polymerization withethylene glycol maleic rosinate acrylate (EGMRA) as the cross-linker, tetrahydropalmatine (THP) as the template, andmethacrylic acid as the functional monomer. A non-imprinted polymer (NIP) was similarly prepared and treated, but in theabsence of THP. The MIP and NIP were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and nitrogen sorption and thermalgravimetric analyses. Thetimetakenbythe MIPto reachTHP(C0= mmolL–1) h, andthe recog-nition factor of the MIPfor . Thechangein microcalorimetric heat flowduringadsorption revealed that the MIPhada higher affinity to pared with NIP. Selective adsorption experiments demonstrated the high affinity and THPselectiv-ity of the imprinted polymer, tetrahydropalmatine, selective adsorption, mi
