文档介绍:GENERAL INFORMATION – GAUGING & WASTAGE
Gauging requirements are shown in Tables 2a, 3a and 4a. When gauging a drillin than global substantial corrosion (%) and the Owner decides not to take action at time of attendance, this is to be treated as an OSR, reported as an “Additional Requirement”, and the Surveyor is to recommend structure be re-examined and gauged not later than the MODUs next Annual Survey due date. Global wastage found on special application structures is to be immediately brought to the attention of the Owner/OIM and the Divisional Offshore Lead Surveyor is to be informed by e-mail, as soon as possible. Global wastage of Special Application Structures require prompt and through repairs by renewing the structure to its original thickness.
Global wastage percentage of Primary Application Structures on a MODU is to be less than 10%. Global wastage of 10% or over requires structure to be renewed. If global wastage was less than 10% but more than global substantial corrosion (%) and the Owner decides not to take action at time of attendance, this is to be treated as an OSR, reported as an “Additional Requirement”, and the Surveyor is to recommend structure be re-examined and gauged not later than the Mode’s next Annual Survey due date.
Global wastage found of Secondary Application Structures on a MODU is to be less than 15%. Global wastage of 15% or over requires structure to be renewed. If global wastage was less than 15% but more than global substantial corrosion (%) and the Owner decides not to take action at time of attendance, this is to be treated as an OSR, reported as an “Additional Requirement”, and the Surveyor is to recommend structure be re-examined and gauged not later than the MODUs next Annual Survey due date.
Where wastage or pitting found on structural members in areas of the MODU that do not add any global strength to the surrounding structure but is provided for purpose of fire/gas/water/weather-tightness, or may have
