Spoofing and jamming in the form of transmitting counterfeit location information and denying services are an emerging threat to GNSS receivers. Spoofing is a deliberate attack that aims to coerce victim receivers into conducing false navigation solutions, such attack is potentially more hazardous than jamming since the target receiver is not aware of threat and still providing position/navigation solutions seemed nothing happened. So, after examining the characteristics of spoofing & jamming, this paper firstly investigated the vulnerability of a single GNSS receiver to a spoof attack in detail.
