街道成立了城建监察中队，配合县城管局，查处违章建筑，销毁船屋，加大对马路市场、夜排档的整治力度。对小区物业进行分类管理，基本实现小区物业管理全覆盖，建立社区服务中心，为居民提供一站式服务。开展城市环境卫生集中整治行动，清除陈年垃圾，整治车库住人现象，小区面貌有了明显改善。
（四）民生事业概况
民政工作情况：积极开展各类生活保障工作，2011年救助生活困难家庭774户，救助金额335万元；全面建设社区便民服务中心，开展窗口式、一站式服务，办理养老、医疗、工伤、失业、“4050”补贴等各类业务；推广实施居家养老服务中心，目前街道拥有居家养老社区服务站3个（柯福、金桥、永丰桥站），下辖9个社区，服务对象389人，其中空巢老人40人，半空巢老人349人；开展残疾人实名制调查，爱心街道创建获得县考核组高度好评；柯桥城区顺利通过国家卫生县城国家级复查考核；全面实施“文化惠民”工程，拥有216支文体队伍，3000多名文体骨干，群众性文化体育活动广泛开展；深化“和谐榜”建设，实现和谐社区创建全覆盖。

教育事业情况：街道有4所小学，17所幼儿园、1所成教中心。全街道有小学在校学生6147名，小学在编教师271人名；幼儿园在园幼儿6086名（其中公办1806人），幼儿教师376名（其中公办教师30人）；成校教师6名。
卫生事业情况：全街道现有社区卫生服务中心1家，社区卫生服务站8家，口腔诊所2家，西医诊所1家，中医诊所1家，连锁药店24家，单体药店7家，县级医院2家。
近年来，街道被评为“全国爱国拥军模范单位”、“浙江省爱国卫生工作先进单位”，成功创建成为“市级优质服务示范
