Since the een eighties, the Chinese academic circles have raised a "Confucianism is religion or not " debate, this topic has formed a characteristic of contemporary Confucianism research. The definition of these arguments mainly relates to the concept of religion, but also closely relates to people's different understanding of confucianism. Generally speaking, there are three kinds of views and positions of Confucianism debate, some say "Confucianism is religion", some say "Confucianism is not a religion", also others say "ithas religious confucianism".In fact, "Confucianism is just a problem of surface religion", the essence of problem is, as the mainstream and the core of Chinese culture of the Confucian , its essence and the basic functions of how to interpret and development issues.
