兰州交通参与者的素质不高，行人不顾红绿灯，乱穿越马路，爬越交通护栏现象随处可见，司机不按照规定车道行驶、争道抢行等严重影响交通安全畅通的交通违法行为也相当突出，这些现象易引发交通事故，经常造成或者加剧交通拥堵。造成此现象的另一个重要原因就是交警执法力度不够，执法不严。
二、改善兰州城市交通的几点建议
（一）加快企业搬迁兰州新区
由于工业和仓储企业特别是重化工业企业原材料、产品的运量巨大，重型货车对城市交通的压力很大，重型货车的尾气对城市污染也很严重，因此,建议采取各种鼓励政策,推动近郊四区兰州盆地内的工业和仓储企业特别是重化工业企业搬迁到兰州新区,兰州新区是解决兰州交
