摘 要:隨着国际医学学术交流合作愈加频繁,医学信息资源激增。在这些发展进程中,医学翻译都扮演了不可或缺的角色。要想翻译好医学文献,成功投稿国际期刊,除了翻译技巧,还得注意每一个小细节,翻译时必须认真细致 their diagnosis for at least one month; volunteered for participation; ability to complete the survey on their own or with the help of investigators;basic communication skills and understanding capability.
修改后版本:The inclusion criteria were as follows: patients were/had ≥ 18 years old; with cancers confirmed by pathology; aware of their diagnoses for at least one month; volunteered for participation; the ability to complete the survey on their own or with the help of the investigators; basic communication skills and understanding capability. 分析:从上面三个版本的对比可见,中翻英时如果语言基础不过关就很容易在名词上犯错误。该医生多次投稿之后的版本中很多名词还是没有体现出单复数,比如as follows,因为如下条件大于1,所以要加s;由于病人已经用成了复数patients,所以中文版本中“自己的诊断”their diagnosis用单数形式就不对,应该用复数形式their diagnoses;“有……能力”其实已经是特指某一能力了,所以应该在前面加一个the,同理“调查人员”应该是特指本调查中的人,所以也应该加the。
笔者又将同一句子用有道字典进行了翻译,版本如下:The inclusion criteria were as follows: the patient was more than 18 years old; Diagnosis of cancer by pathological examination; Know your diagnosis for more than a month; Voluntary participation; Having the ability to complete the investigation by themselves or with the assistance of the investigator; Basic communication skills and understanding.
大家可以看到,对于“入选标准如下” “自愿参与” “在调查人员协助下”等一类高频句机器翻译的准确度是比较高的,但是有道版本又出现了人称混乱的问题,机器翻译将病人视为单数the patient wa
