A New Pepper Cultivar‘Ganjiao 18’

Abstract：A new hot pepper F1 hybrid‘Genjiao 18’was developed by crossing CMS line C002A7 as
female parent and restorer line WY119 as male parent. The fruit is horn shaped and pungent with dark
green skin and red skin in maturity， cm in length， cm in width， cm in pulp thickness and
g in weight. It has mid-earlymaturity and resistance to phytophthora blight. The average yield is
40 000-50 000 kg · hm-2‘. Ganjiao 18’is suitable for spring early cultivation and autumn delayed culture in
greenhouse in the Yangtze River Valley and other areas with similar climate.
