文档介绍:3- 1 3- HULL OUTFITTING MAN O EUVRING SYSTEM STEERING GEAR One (1) set of electro-hydraulic, 1 rams –2 cylinders type steering gear to be installed in the steering gear room. The steering gear to consist of two (2) hydraulic cylinders of cast iron, one (1) rams of carbon steel, one(1) tiller arm of cast steel with the key, two(2) electro-hydraulic pump units, valves box, hydraulic piping, instruments, etc. The steering gear shall be connected to the rudder stock by key with hydr aulic m ethod. Each of the electro-hydraulic pump units shall have 100% of the capacity a nd will be solenoid valve operated. All parts of the steering gear to be designed and equipped in accordance with the requirements of the Classification Society and the Regulatory Bodies. The steering gear to be operated by one of the power unit s, while the other unit to be of stand-by. The steering gear to be capable of putting the rudder from 35 deg. on one side to 35 deg. on the other side with the vessel running ahead at the summer load waterline with the maximum continuous rated power of the main engine. The capacity of each power unit to be suitable for supplying the sufficient power for steering the rudder from 35 deg. on either side to 30 deg. on the other side within 28 seconds under the above condition. The steering gear is to be incorporated with auto pilot system. The steering gear shall also be controlled manually bya local control device, fitted on th e steering gear in steering gear room, for an emergency operation. Efficient means munication with the wheelhouse to be provided adj 3- 2 acent to the local control device. In case of main power failure, electric power to be fed from emergency generator to one of the power units automatically within 45 seconds in order to steer the rudder and be capable of putting the rudder over from 15 degrees on the other side in not more than 60 seconds with the ship at it’s deepest seagoing draft and running ahead at one half of the maximum ah
