The Legend
There are two legends which claim to explain the tradition of eating mooncakes.
Chang’e flies to the moon.
Hou Yi shot 9 suns.
Chang’e met Hou Yi and they got married.
Hou Yi went to the Kunlun Mountains to look for an elixir [i'liksə]of life.
House Yi gave the elixir to Chang’e.
Chang’e drank the elixir and flew to the moon.
Hou Yi sacrificed the moon.
Hou Yi shoots down nine suns.

Reunion
The most important thing is looking at the moon. On that day, the moon looks brighter and rounder.
We call this moon the full moon.
