二、当代文化研究例释
以小说与当代读者为例
王晓明教授在上海大学首届文学周圆桌讨论会上说到，近30年前，“新时期”文学开始的时候，小说读者遍及城乡和各阶层；20年前，80年代中期，文学丧失“轰动”效应，许多社会阶层中间，读者减少，但大学生依然热爱小说，成为中坚读者群；大约从10年前开始，在校大学生的阅读方式和趣味变了，越来越多的年轻人，成了背后有明显的商业的引导的“青春文学”的粉丝，签名、围观、只读其引起八卦式的社会轰动的作品，阅读范围缩小，今日中国的“青春小说”在内涵和形式上都过于单一。
