Harmony Core Principles
The Harmony/ESW (Harmony/Embedded SoftWare) process is tailored to provide guidance
for the efficient and effective development of real-time and embedded systems. It realizes a
set of core principles. Understanding these principles will help you understand how the work-
flows of the Harmony/ESW process are organized and why.
Harmony Core Principles
• Your primary goal: develop working software
• You should always measure progress against the goal not
against the implementation

Your Primary Goal: Develop Working Software
This premise is so basic that people lose sight of it all the time. It is very common for devel-
