(1)feed在表示“喂养，饲养”时，强调动作，其主要用法如下：
①feed sb./（动）物
Could you please feed my dog?
②feed…to…把……喂给……
Mother is feeding milk to her baby.
③feed…on/with…用……来喂（养）……
She fed the baby on/with milk.
④feed on…以……为食，只用于动物，指人类则用live on…。
Sheep feed on grass.

(2)keep指“饲养，赡养，照顾”的总体情况，不涉及具体动作。

(1)quite是程度副词，可修饰副词、形容词和动词。跟表程度的词连用时，有“相当”“非常”的意思；跟没有程度差别的词连用时，作“完全”讲。

(2)very是程度副词，意为“很，非常”，可用来修饰形容词或副词。very不能直接修饰动词, 可以用very much修饰。

(3)quite与very有时可以通用。但在分量上very比quite重。“a+very+形容词+中心名词”相当于“quite+a(an)形容词+中心名词”。
