二、旅游改变江阴
作为中国优秀旅游城市，江阴从“城市即旅游”着眼，弘扬放大徐霞客、华西村等品牌，促规划完善、抓资源开发、推节庆繁荣、强文化特色、拓生态旅游、谋经营创新，全市已形成了“百年长兴的华西文化，千年要塞的军事文化，世界游圣的霞客文化，群星灿烂的暨阳文化”四大旅游特色。前年全市共接待国内外游客1800万人次，增长20%；，%；，%。目前全市拥有A级景区6家，其中国家4A级景区2家，2A级景区4家，农业旅游点30多个。
    在举办第七届中国徐霞客国际旅游节等节庆活动的同时，江阴目前正加快旅游业的提档升级，海澜国际马术俱乐部申报国家5A级景区，徐博园争创4A级景区，月城双泾云外水庄、青阳观音文化博览园争创3A级景区，黄嘉喜来登、桃源山庄创五星级酒店，青阳镇创建江苏省旅游名镇、嘉茂国际花鸟园创建省自驾游基地。
