Text A A Visit to Conway Castle
Dave”s class at school were studying English history, and oclock and got into the bus. They visited Conway Castle, and then they came back and went home.
男孩们周五九点去学校上了公交车，他们参观了康威城堡后就回家了。
“Well,” Dave”s mother said to him when he got home, “did you like the castle, Dave?”
“哎，”Dave一回到家他妈妈就问他，“你喜爱那座城堡吗，Dave?”
“Not very much,” Dave answered. “The stupid people built it too near the railway.”
“不怎么喜爱，”Dave答复，“那些愚蠢的人把它建得离铁路太近了。”
Text B What Are You Going to Do?
Robert and Peter are talking about the end of the school term. Robert is going to leave school and start work, but Peter is going to stay at school.
Robert and Peter正在争论学期末的事。Robert就将要离开学校去工作了，但是Peter仍将留在学校。
PETER: Are you going to leave school at the end of the term?

PETER：你学期末要离开学校了吗？
ROBERT: Yes, I am.
ROBERT：是的。
PETER: What are you going to do?
PETER：你准备干什么？
ROBERT: I”m going to be a clerk.
ROBERT：我准备做一名办事员。
PETER: What does a clerk do?
PETER：办事员是干什么的？
ROBERT: He works in an office. He writes letters and reports, and he types.
ROBERT：办事员是在办公室工作的，他写信和文章，还有打字。
PETER: I want to be a vet.
我想做一名兽医。
ROBERT: A-what?
ROBERT：做什么？
PETER: A vet-a veterinary surgeon.
PETER：a vet 就是兽医。
ROBERT: Good gracious !What”s that
