The paper aimes at the technique of water-saveing supplied irrigation of gravel-mulched field
which should be solved in arid regions of NingXia central area. The paper depends on
water-saving supplied irrigation experiment and model field at Xiangshan township of Zhongwei
City where belongs to arid regions of Ningxia central area. The experiment adopted the method of
contrast experiment, with research methods of the local irrigation techniques,such as on the central
arid Ningxia soil water deficit on water pressure to the impact of sand, focusing on regularity of
water and fertilization requirement on key issues, Now, the main achievement of those researches
as follows:
Test in the same initial conditions, the pressure of the new sand to the same fertility, the same
initial moisture content, under the conditions of the same species, adopted the methods of contrast
experiment, have paved the way for the different irrigation effection of watermelon between grow
and output. The results showed that drought in 2010 in conditions,different processing production
is as follows:treatment 2>treatment 3>treatment 1>treatment4>treatment5>treatment6>contrast;To
deal with 2 (hydrating quota of 5m3/667m2),the production is biggest,so adapt watermelon growth
for pressure of irrigation system is:irrigation frequency for 4 times,irrigation quota is 5m3/667m2,
the drip irrigation is 20m3/667m2,the water requirement is ,now,in sprout stage
the soil moisture content is soil water content is about 50%,in growth stage is 60-70%,in fruit
stage is about 60%.
