随着计算机、网络的普及，网络市场对人才的需求量日益增加，如何在众多的计算机职业中,选择适宜的职业便成了的关键。网络工程概论课〔以下简称概论课〕的开设，主要为了让我们了解网络工程这个专业，让我们了解以后的职业岗位以及所必须的一些能力。本专业培养掌握网络工程的根本理论与方法以及计算机技术和网络技术等方面的知识，能运用所学知识与技能去分析和解决相关的实际问题的人才。概论课介绍了网络人才所需的技能以及就业岗位。从大一新生的角度来说，概论课是网络工程专业的敲门砖。
