Leonard Hofstadter, .
Leonard is an experimental physicist with an IQ of 173 who received his . when he was 24 years old.
He shares an apartment with colleague and friend Sheldon Cooper.
The writers immediately implied a potential romance between him and neighbor Penny.
Penny
She is the blonde, who lives across the hall from Sheldon and Leonard.
She hopes for a career in acting, and has been casting calls and auditions but has not been essful thus far.
