健康中国2020战略工作：
“健康中国2020”战略，作为卫生系统贯彻落实全面建设小康社会新要求的重要举措之一，努力促进公共服务均等化。这一战略是以提高人民群众健康为目标，以解决危害城乡居民健康的主要问题为重点，坚持预防为主、中西医并重、防治结合的原则，采用适宜技术，以政府为主导，动员全社会参与，切实加强对影响国民健康的重大和长远卫生问题的有效干预，确保到2020年实现人人享有基本医疗卫生服务的重大战略目标。

陈竺部长指出实施“健康中国2020”战略，必须着手以下工作：一是根据我国居民的主要健康问题及其可干预性和干预的成本效果以及相关国际承诺，确定优先领域和重点。二是根据影响健康的主要问题，制定切实可行的全国和地方行动计划。行动计划不仅要提供良好的卫生服务，还要特别关注影响健康的各种社会经济环境和人口因素，营造有利于健康的环境。三是建立健全健康评价体系。评价体系要以人民健康状况为中心，既反映工作情况，更要反映群众健康素质的变化。为此，必须建立和发展相应的体制机制、投入、人才、科技、文化和国际合作等支撑体系。 [1]
陈竺部长在甘肃省陇南视察地震灾情时，明确要求甘肃可以在全国率先制定“健康中国2020”的地方性战略规划并进行深入研究，为将来全国省级层面开展课题研究提供可借鉴的经验模式。
