Uncle Sam was used to refer to "the United States" or "the government of the United States", mainly in the United States, Britain, especially in the press ."Uncle Sam" was an American nickname known for the world like the Statue of Liberty.
山姆大叔被用来代指“美国”或“美国政府”,主要在美国、英国,尤其是在新闻界。“山姆大叔”是美国的绰号,它同自由女神一样,为世人所熟知。

“Uncle Sam” this nickname produced the second American and British war in 1812 . There was a meat packing businessman named Samuel Wilson in New York. He was honest ,capable ,enthusiastic about enterprise ,and people affectionately called him “uncle Sam” .During the war, he served as New York military inspector and was responsible for prodding on the beef bucket and barrel.
