光镜下骨单位中央为圆形的中央管,多层骨板围绕中央管呈同心圆排列。在骨板之间或骨板中可见棕黄色的小腔,即骨陷窝,骨陷窝之间有细小的骨小管相连通。

横切面,心肌纤维呈圆形或不规则形的小块,有的有圆形染色浅淡的细胞核,有点无核。纵切面见心肌纤维呈短柱状,有分支,其间有结缔组织和毛细血管。心肌纤维核呈椭圆形,位于肌纤维中央。相邻心肌纤维连接处有染色深的闰盘,呈线状或阶梯状,与心肌纤维长轴垂直。
