enough的用法
1、enough用作形容词,通常修饰可数名词或不可数名词,可放在被修饰名词之前或之后(但以前置为多见)。
即 n.+ enough = enough +:
(1) Are there enough seats for ten persons?
有没有足够十人的座位? (2)We have enough food for a week.
我们有足够维持一周的食物。
有时也可以将enough放在被修饰名词的后面,例如: I don’t have wine enough (=enough wine) for five persons. 我的酒不够5个人喝。
2、作副词 Ⅰ、修饰形容词和副词,且必须放在它们之后,如:
(1)This room is large enough for us to sleep in.
这个房间足够大,我们可以睡.(不可说enough large)
(2) He knows the situation well enough.
对他情况了解得非常清楚。(不可说enough well”)
3、常用句型
(一) enough之后跟介词短语”for sb”和不定式“for sb to do sth”, 如:
(1)He was lucky enough to eed in his first attempt.
他够幸运的了,第一次尝试就成功了。 (2)He spoke slowly enough for everyone to understand.
他说话慢得每个人都能听懂。 (3)There isn’t enough ice cream for all the children.
冰淇淋不够分给所有的小孩。
(二) too… to do… 结构转换为not … enough to do 
too… to do 太…以致于不能…
I’m too weak to get up now.
我太虚弱了以致于不能起床
I am not strong enough to get up now.
My sister is too young to go to school.
我妹妹太小了以致于不能去上学
My sister is not old enough to go to schoo.
too…to…句型可与not…enough to…句型互相转换
too + adj./adv. + to do sth.
= not + adj./adv + enough + to do sth.
注意:两个句型中的adj./?
He is not old enough to go to school.
He is too young to go to school.
He is not thin enough to run fast.
He is too fat to run fast.
He is not rich enough to buy the house.
