一、正确的方向
(一)必考词义
1. impossibly=very
It is an impossibly unpopular behavior. →这是一个非常不受欢迎的行为。 behavior
unseemly 不雅的=unethical 不道德的→ethical 有道德的 unseemly →decent 优雅的(反义词)礼貌的:courtesy=decent
Eg. As a courtesy to the next passenger, may we suggest that you wipe off the wash basin.
为了方便下一个乘客,我们建议你清洁洗手池。
fashion policy/laws
优秀的= brilliant, great, well accepted → mediocre 一般、平庸
exceptional child pare、parison
(pare v. 比较(找出相同点) contrast (找出相同点)
(2)词性:parison 为名词
(1)intelligence ;智商;情报→指“智力、智商”时特指天生的/先天的智力
Central Intelligence Agency (美国)中央情报局,简称 CIA (2)intellectual →指后天从知识中获得的智力
intellect ;智力
intellectualism → anti-intellectualism 反智主义(“智”指后天知识)
☆:后缀“ism”表示“……主义;……论”
;向上
passion(***), work(刻苦), focus(专注), push(强迫), ideas(点子), improve(精通), serve(服务),persist(坚持) ——《 谈成功是趟持续的旅程》 eg. weather financial crisis 克服金融危机
