文档介绍:Experiment 1 Liquid Dosage Forms
Compound Iodine Solution
Purposes
To master the basic preparation methods of liquid dosage forms
To master the operation methods of additament in solution
Basic Concepts
Solution agentia includes solutions, aromatic waters, glycerite, spirits, syrups, etc.
Preparation method includes three technics: solution, dilution and chemical reaction.
General preparation procedures : weighing→ dissolution → mixing → filtering → adding solvent to the whole → checking → packaging → labeling.
Equipments and Materials
Beaker, graduated cylinder, medicine spoon, counter balance, weighing paper, glass rod.
Iodine, potassium iodide, distilled water
Experiment Content
Prescription
Potassium iodide
2g
Iodine
1g
Distilled water
Add to 30mL
Preparation:
Place potassium iodide and 50%-80% of distilled water given in prescription into the baker and dissolve it by stirring.
Then, add iodine to the solution and stir to make it pletely.
Finally, add distilled water to the whole volumn
Precautions
The order of prescribes: usually, addition agent should be added first, such as solvent, suspending agent, stabilizer, etc. Insoluble drugs should be added in advance, and soluble drugs, liquid drugs and volatilize drugs can be added later.
To accelerate the rate of dissolve, drugs can minuted, take ½ to ¾ solution to dissolve the drugs, stir or heat it
