Brief introduction
Prometheus is a god in Greek mythology .
He was a in the war between Zeus the giants he had stood on the side of the new Olympiangods.
Heroic deeds
Out of the clay he made the first man,and Athena gave him soul and holy breath.
Spent a lot of time and energy in creating the gift of fire raised man above all animals .(使人类成为万物之灵。)
Managed to steal fire from heaven and secretly brought it down to men.
His behavior infuriated Zeus.
Zeus chained Prometheus to a rock on Mountain Caucasus,where a hungry eagle ever tore at his liver which ever grew period of pain was to be thirty-thousand years.

At last Heracles killed the eagle and set the friend of mankind free.

Prometheus is sympathetic and selfless.
He has a strong sense of justice and
sacrificed himself to fight for humans’ perseverence also moves lots of people.
He fully deserves the honour of a hero.
