The history of—XiaoShan
A pearl on the southern bank of the Qiantang River with a land area of 1,420 square kilometers, Xiaoshan is a district under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou – capital city of Zhejiang Province, and has 22 towns, four munities under its jurisdiction. Xiaoshan has a registered population of 1,185,000 and a migrant resident population of 800,000. Located at the juncture of the Qiantang River, Puyang River and Fuchun River, Xiaoshan is bestowed with exceptional geographical advantages, enjoying convenient land, water and air transportation and the transportation capabilities of the Hangyong Canal – the extended section of the Jing-Hang Grand Canal. The Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, one of the top 10 airports of China, is in Xiaoshan. It is only 180 kilometers from the port of Shanghai and 150 kilometers from the port of Ningbo, and has a well-work of railways, highroads and expressways, ensuring a 40-minute transportation ring within the region and a 20 minutes’ driving distance from the downtown areas of Xiaoshan to expressways. With the second phase of the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, the Jiangdong Bridge, the Cross-river Tunnel and the subway of Hangzhou under construction, Xiaoshan has plete connection with downtown Hangzhou and is ing the ‘Pudong New City Zone of Hangzhou’

航坞山:
航坞山初于萧山东部瓜沥、坎山、衙前一带,风景秀丽、文物古迹众多。衙前为历史文化名镇,今街道古貌风韵犹存,是党领导的全国最早的农民运动的发源地,革命胜迹甚多。航坞山顶有宋代白龙寺、孙中山纪念塔。潺溪密林之中则坐落着地藏寺、极乐寺。此地乃古代军事城堡,为唐、宋、明各代屯兵之处。衙前为历史文化名镇,今街道古貌风韵犹存,是党领导的全国最早的农民运动的发源地,革命胜迹甚多。
