Damon won multiple awards for Good Will Hunting, a film he co-wrote with Ben Affleck. He was nominated for the Academy Award as "Best Actor in a Leading Role" and won for "Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen".
Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 American epic war film set during the invasion of Normandy in World War II.
In 2007, Saving Private Ryan was ranked #71 on the American Film Institute's 10th Anniversary list of the 100 best American movies of all time
