Foreword
The munications industry service providers and their suppliers are
committed to meeting the expectations of their customers. Each has strived
individually to plish this for many years. Most observers of the
munications industry would agree that very good progress has been made in
the twentieth century. There is also a strong need, however, for even greater
progress in the years ahead, and the challenge is how to make this a reality.
The Quality Excellence for Suppliers of munications Forum includes most
of the major service providers and their suppliers. We have joined forces in a
remarkably cooperative and constructive spirit and created the TL 9000 Handbooks.
Our goal from the beginning has been to develop a consistent set of quality system
requirements and metrics when implemented will help provide munications
users with faster, better and more cost-effective
