1. Purpose
The purpose is to make sure if quality of gage system has the ability to measure specific product or
process.
2. Scope
The test equipment to measure the controlled characters designated by customer
3. Definition
Gage system: It contains personnel, inspected and tested equipments (including
computer equipments or software set), and operation procedure.
Repeatability of gage system (EV): The repeatable ability of re-measuring the same
component by the same operator. It also means the variance of the
measurement.
Reproducibility of gage system (AV): It means the variance of different operators
in the same gage system when measuring the same product parameter.
Blind test: It means that operators measure product in actual measurement
environment without knowing if there is difference between the
products.
4. Authority
QA: In charge of gage system analysis. They should plan for analysis and testing (the choice of
gage system, test schedule, personnel) and analyze and judge the result.
MFG: Co-operate the gage system analysis. In charge of provide the personnel list. Also in
charge of maintain the equipment and train the operators.
