1. famous adj. 著名的,出名的
eg. Beijing is a famous city for its many historic sites. 北京因为有着众多的历史古迹而问明。
Eg. The famous film star was active in charity activities. 那位著名影星热衷于慈善活动。
fame n. 名声,声望

2. flunk vt. 考试不及格
eg. No one flunked the exam, which pleased the teacher. 考试没有人不及格,这让老师很高兴。
eg. Father was disappointed because I flunked English in the final exam. 因为我期末考试英语没有及格,所以父亲很失望。
Phrase: flunk out (因考试不及格)退学
