一、教材分析
本书是加拿大英语专家和北京市仁爱教育研究所的中国英语专家依据《英语课程标准》, 编写的七年级零起点英语教材。教材内容安排由浅入深,循序渐进;教材编写思路清晰,符 合学生认知发展规律,方便初学者培养英语学习兴趣,单元按语言功能意念项目编排,每一 话题四个小节(section)按听、说、读、写的语言技能编排。
第六单元是整个初中英语教材的结束单元,话题比较丰富,有谈论影视节目和星座的话 题,有对偏爱、喜好的讨论,有关于文艺和艺术的探讨,也有画家和他们作品的评价,这一 切都是在毕业临近之际为加深同学间的友谊而设置的话题,最后以毕业典礼和告别这一话 题,结束了初中英语的学习。通过多个活动将情感态度、文化意识、与语言知识的学习和语 言技能的运用有机结合起来,给学生营造适当的语言环境,大大提高了学生的学习兴趣。本 单元分为由三个话题相互串联,第一个话题Topic 1 I would rather watch sports shows than those ,引出关于电视节目及星座的话题, 学习怎样谈论自己的偏爱、喜好及运用would rather... than...结构,并复习动名词作宾语的 用法。
教学内容及教学安排
Topic 分为 Section A, Section B , Section C ,Section D ,每个 Section — 课时,共 4 个 课时。在 Section A 中主要学习 awould rather...than... ” "prefer...to...”句型,表达偏爱和 喜好,通过谈论电视节目话题,表达自己喜爱的电视节目。
教学目标
SectionA要求学会本课的生词和短语,达到听、说、读、写的“四会”要求:
quiz, someday, would rather.. .than, comedy, entertainment, heroine, fall in love with
学习并熟练掌握"would rather...than...,, "prefer to....rather than...,, "prefer...to..." 表达与应用。通过反复练习,使学生能用这两个句型自由谈论自己喜爱的电视节目。
通过多媒体创设的教学活动,激发同学们的学习兴趣,培养学生的口语交际能力。
教学策略
开放式教学策略。以有限的课堂为载体,带学生进入广阔的知识天地。
兴趣激发策略。只有让学生真正有了参与的欲望,才能点燃他们的思维火花。
任务型活动策略。在做中学,在做中练,在做中巩固往往有良好的效果。
教学手段
采用情景教学法和任务型教学法的结合,辅助多媒体教学。用音乐,图片使抽象的语言 变得直观,为学生运用英语进行交际创设情景,实现师生互动,生生互动多向交流。
教学重点、教学难点
运用举行"would rather...than...", ''prefer to....rather than..."与"prefer...to..."来谈论自 己喜爱的电视节目,学习与掌握各种电视节目的名称,并意识到电视带给人类的好处和害处。
二、 学情分析
本课的教学对象是九年级学生,学生思维活跃,富于激情,感情丰富,他们有更明确的 自我意识。他们的思维特点是:形象思维较发达,而抽象、概括能力较弱。对于身边事都是 非常感兴趣,而且乐于开口表达自己的喜好和观点。所以Section A的话题肯定能吸引他们 的兴趣,加上课件设置一些活动和任务,能让学生积极性提高,达到教学的目的。
三、 教学过程(Teaching procedures )

Learn to express preferences and hobbies, using the sentence pattern "would rather...than...9,
Learn the names of TV programs

Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warm up
Play an English song to warm students up.
Step 2 Review
"What we have learn in Unit 5 ?"ask and sum up with students.

.Agreement of subject and predicate (主谓一致)
.Also learn about China's history and culture.
Step 3 Presentation
Show two pictures and ask students whether they like watching TV in their spare time?
T: What do you like doing in your spare time?
S: I like watching TV and playing basketball.
Show photos of some hosts or hostesses. Ask students who they are and whether they like their programs. And lead to the new lesson.
T: Who do you like better/prefer, ... or... ?
S: I like ...better than.../I prefer....
T: Why?
S: Because I like watching children's programs.
Show another photo of TV programs and talk about it.
Show another photos of movies and ask students whether they like them? And lead to 1c.
T: Do you know this novice ?
S: Yes, it is Hero.
T: Have you watched it before?
S: Yes.
Show some movie on CCTV 6 and match each kind of movie with its description.
Enjoy an English song. Then show the photo of the movie Titanic and talk about the love story of the hero and the heroine.
Ask students to think of the new words and phrases. Learn and master their pronunciations.

Step 4 Practice
Show some kinds of TV programs and ask students to make a little dialogue to express their favorite TV program.
S1: Which kind of program do you like better, TV plays or sports shows?
S2: I like sports shows better./ I prefer sports shows.
Lead students to use "would rather...than...9,to express their favorite TV program.
SI: Which kind of program do you like better, news reports or animal programs?
S2: I would rather watch animal programs than news reports./ I prefer to watch animal programs rather than news reports./ I prefer animal programs to news reports.
Have students act out.
Step 5 Task
the speaking task, have students to ask their classmates around them and fill in the table:

五、 授课基本效果及今后对策
85%以上的学生积极的参于课堂活动,课堂活动主要以语言为表现形式,对于九年级后 半学期的学生来说,应该不成问题。因此,在表达自己喜欢的电视节目和电影时,大部分学 生都能完整而准确的用英语表达。课堂气氛比较活跃。
但是还是有一小部分学生不敢开口或不会讲英语,所以在以后的英语教学中应该更注重 设置一些不同层次的问题和任务,要照顾下层生,树立他们的学习英语的信心。
六、 教学反思
整个设计构想能体现新课程理念,体现“以人为本”“面向全体”。教学手段和教学方法 多样化,师生互动好,适合学生的实际。“任务型”教学比较突出。设计的任务贴近生活, 语言点能延伸到实际生活中。教学环节的设计和时间分配科学、合理。教师的主导作用和学 生的主体作用发挥得比较到位。学生参与活动的热情高。师生情感交流、信息反馈的渠道畅 通,课堂气氛活跃。教师创设很好的英语氛围,使学生处于和谐、民主气氛,使学生能发挥 主体作用,参与面广。活动形式多样,把激发学生兴趣摆在首位,引导学生自主探索。每项 活动调控较好。
如果能插入电影〈简爱>的片段,那就更好了。
